The Yangs go to Dusseldorf 2016 (Video)

After Munich, Manchester and London, Dusseldorf was the last stop before we flew back to Singapore. It's our first time there so we did not venture out, although friends did recommend hopping over to nearby Cologne.

The weather was pretty warm compared to the first 8 days of our trip, so we ended up shopping and looking for water and ice cream more often than sightseeing! Still, we found Dusseldorf to be compact but beautiful. Perfect for a 2-day walkabout.

The Yangs go to Manchester and London 2016 (Video)

Our holiday without the kids in Germany and UK in August 2016.

After Munich, Manchester and London were the second and third stops before we ended in Dusseldorf. It's our second time in London so we only visited places that we missed years ago, except shopping. It's always a good time to shop, especially when the Pound took a pounding (pun intended) after the Brexit vote.

The highlight of the UK leg must be the live game that we watched between Manchester United and Southampton at Old Trafford. It was United's first home game and Pogba made his debut. The atmosphere was fantastic, much better than the Real Madrid game that I watched at the Bernabeu some years ago.

Unfortunately, it was raining so much in Manchester we could not do much sightseeing. Mummy Cher certainly didn't mind though because that meant we went shopping instead.

Our holiday without the kids in Germany and UK in August 2016.

Munich is the first stop before we head to Manchester, London and Dusseldorf. Our friend were so kind to offer a room in their house for us to stay in! It's our first time in Germany and it was interesting to see the culture behind its world famous efficiency. While the museums were underwhelming, the castles were brilliant and a must-see.
